As teams prep for regionals, the IQA photography department would like to take a moment to step back and reflect on summer fantasy experiences in this seven-part series.
Sunday, Sept. 22 was the first day of autumn. As we gear up for the new season, let us reflect back on our summer experiences.
Quidditch fantasy tournaments are more than just games to fill in the months while we wait for school to begin and official tournaments to start. They are a chance for players to put away their regular colors and jerseys and pick up their brooms with those who were once their competitors. Fantasy tournaments show that quidditch isn’t just a sport; it’s a community where rivals can be teammates without a second thought.
Both the IQA photography team and contributing photographers have been hard at work capturing these games. We’ve compiled a gallery of highlight photographs that will take us across the country--with a quick stop in Canada--throughout the summer of quidditch.
