Unofficial Teams
Although becoming an official member team offers players a vast variety of benefits, the IQA understands that not all teams have the established infrastructure to become a basic or tournament member team. With that in mind, the IQA has a policy that allows unofficial teams to participate in a limited basis in IQA-sanctioned events.
Teams that pay no dues to the IQA are considered unofficial. These teams will still receive support from the membership and teams departments, who will introduce them to nearby teams as both mentors and potential competitors, and give advice on how to continue to grow the team. Unofficial teams may participate in IQA-sanctioned events by paying a per-person registration fee. This registration fee will cover accident insurance for that event only. Due to the nature of regional championship tournaments as qualifying events for the World Cup, unofficial teams will not be permitted to attend these events.
