Graphic Designer

Graphic Designers are members of the design team within the IQA’s marketing department. They are primarily responsible for completing design projects, including but not limited to creating logos and branding for specific events, creating marketing materials, and formatting text layouts of IQA resources. Volunteers should expect to work 5-10 hours per week.

Key duties & responsibilities:

-Design flyers, banners, postcards, stickers, brochures, merchandise, etc. for print production.
-Design longer-form collateral including magazine layouts, informational packets, and internal documents.
-Design banner ads, web layouts, etc. for digital production.
-Design logos for tournaments, events, and regions.
-Submit all rough drafts to marketing director for approval.
-Make timely changes to mockups.
-Store and maintain files professionally (utilizing named layers, folders, packaged InDesign files, outlined fonts in Illustrator, etc).
-Collaborate with printers to select proper materials and approve mockups.
-Participate in creative brainstorming and discussion to add to the value of the IQA brand.

Required knowledge, skills, and abilities:

-At least two years of graphic design experience.
-Thorough understanding of web and print design processes, file types, color profiles, etc.
-Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator.
-Attention to detail is a must.
-A natural eye for good design aesthetic and can work within the quality and standards of the IQA brand.
-Ability to multitask, prioritize, and communicate quickly and efficiently to meet deadlines.
-Ability to work within a team dynamic and collaborate on projects if necessary.
-Experience working with printers a plus.
-Basic HTML and CSS a plus.
